Meet Herald the Hound

AgeYoung BreedTreeing Walker Coonhound Sexmale, neutered

Perfect socializing partner, that’s FCHS foster dog Herald the Hound! Hiking, driving, conversing with your other dogs, cuddling, standing tall with you for a nice chat? Herald is ready for any of those with you. Herald knows basic commands already and responds well to food, treats and love. He wants some room to run. Herald is young (about 3 or 4 years old), handsome and gentle, and he is waiting for his next best friend. If you would like to meet Herald the Winter Holiday and So Much More Dog, please email! And don't forget to ask about Herald's journey as a stray with a puppy companion that he was protecting. He's an amazing guy! His foster mom’s update follows: “In the seven days Herald has been with me he has exhibited a gentle, kind, big heart and is looking for that person that will love him forever. He gets along very well with horses, dogs and cats. I have six cats and Harold never once offered to touch them or go after them aggressively. He is very obedient to the word “no and very responsive. After he settled into my mini farm he became the guardian of both the barn, shed and my front porch where he could watch the gate. He sometimes became a loner while sitting at the barn door or the shed door. Herald would stay in the barn with me while cleaning stalls and got along very well with the horses. He is a really nice kind sweet big-hearted dog who needs a forever home.
