Meet Mindy

AgeAdult BreedLabrador Retriever Sexfemale, spayed

Mindy is 9 years and 60lbs. She came to us with her brother Mork on 11/12/19. They have been together for 9 years so we really would like to find them a home together if possible. We are working on getting their skin and fur back into a healthy condition. Meet MINDY AND MORK Sweet, Calm, Well-Behaved, Loving Mindy and Mork are 9 years old, 40lb, Black Labs. Bonded, Excellent Walkers, Housetrained. They are good with dogs, good with cats, good with children. Up to Date on Vaccines, Heartworm Negative. Awaiting Diagnosis for thinning hair. Mindy and Mork's About Me: They were surrendered together and it is clear they are so grateful they had each other through these times. We can't imagine them not being together. They are both very timid, but Mork is far braver than Mindy. He craves your attention and will politely place his head in your hand or sit and paw your leg with a pleading look in his eye. Mindy does not beg for your attention, but she craves it just as much. She instead waits for Mork to ask and sees how that goes before also insisting on attention. They are both very polite when walking on the lead with Mindy falling behind you and preferring to follow you through the door and Mork falling to your side, but happy to go first if asked. Housetrained and with no food aggression, these two are low maintenance and easy to handle. They are just super sweet and well behaved dogs. They get along great with other dogs and play wonderfully with each other as well. When they are alone though, with no one to love on them, they howl in unison and mope around their den. They are only truly happy when they interact with people. You can see the light in their eyes and their tails start to wag, they are waiting for someone to take them home. Don't keep these sweet seniors waiting, visit them today and make their wish come true. All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to FCHS, which is a NO kill facility. The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals.
