Meet Mae

AgeYoung BreedCattle Dog Sexfemale, spayed

Mae is a very friendly, loyal and gentle young Catahoula hound, and a foster of the Floyd County Humane Society. Mae loves being around other dogs. She would love a job, in addition to being your companion. Mae’s former owner told us that she is trained for sit (pointer finger), lay down (closed fist), and stay (palm open), but stay needs work, and she hasn’t worked cattle yet. Mae walks easily on a leash and would like to walk, run, and frolic with you. We suggest that Mae live in a home with no cats because she is easily excited by them. She is 1 ½ years old, house-trained, and looking for her forever home! Please email Carol if you are interested in meeting Mae:

How to Adopt

Visit her at Floyd County Humane Society to get acquainted. Call or go to their website to familiarize yourself with what you'll need to begin the adoption process. Remember, adoption is a lifetime commitment, one full of love and reward but also financial and personal responsibility. Take the time to prepare, commit, and fall in love for a lifetime.
