Arek, fondly called Ace, is a shy and very sweet boy of about 4.5 years old. He is a flat coated retriever mix who loves to follow his person around. He has spent a few days up in the office at FCHS with our trainer, around people and two office cats. He lays patiently on his dog bed and watches the comings and goings.
He will make a great "velcro dog" for a special person. Due to Areks timid nature, he would not be a good candidate for off-leash excursions. However, Arek walks so gently on the leash and responds nicely to directional voice commands.
Arek has lived with a family in the past and did well. He is a quiet observer with us, but when he opens up he sure knows how to play with his dog friends. He has tested well with dogs and cats since arriving at FCHS. He seems to be mostly house trained; He was likely house trained at his former residence and has kept his den clean.
All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to FCHS, which is a NO kill facility. The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals.
Please visit our website under adoptable pets for a range of adoptions fees. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (dogs) and placed on preventative, microchipped, and more.
