Meet Jake

AgeAdult BreedHound Sexmale

Jake was rescued November 24, 2018. He was extremely emaciated, weighing 37 pounds, due to having ingested massive amounts of trash and having a malabsorption issue causing his body to not be able to break down necessary nutrients to survive. Jake has been in foster care since and has gained 17 pounds. He is currently on a strict food trial to find what works best for his sensitive digestive system and is being treated for a secondary skin infection due to allergies. He is a 2 year old, intact hound mix. He does great with dogs of all sizes and is curious of cats. Not aggressive, as he is currently living with 3 small terriers and 2 cats. He is great with kids as well. He previously was an outdoor dog only, some potty training will be needed, but going well so far at his home. He does well being left alone in the home but shows signs of anxiety being kenneled. He is very sweet and affectionate and loves attention. He is current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo,Bordetella and Leptospirosis, Lyme vaccine and negative for Heartworm and other tick borne diseases. His foster family cannot keep him but love him very much and would like to find him a loving home. For information please contact this email address: Jake will be neutered on January 19th, 2019. Hopefully sooner if possible. The adoption fee is the same as all the other LAP dogs - $150.00.
