Meet Lady

AgeYoung BreedTerrier (Unknown Type, Small) Sexfemale, spayed

Lady has been in foster care with a kind couple and has come a long way. She is becoming very confident and is housebroken and crate trained. She sits nicely for a treat and when asked to sit to hook her up for a walk. She is a bit strong on the leash, more puppy enthusiasm than anything. When she sees a strange bigger dog her hackles go up but she gets over it pretty quickly. She would love to have a companion dog to play with. She can get pretty energetic at times for short spells but settles down pretty quickly. Lady enjoys playing with her toys and will fetch for a short time. For a ten month old pup she has not chewed anything up other than sticks. She will follow you around but if she got loose and saw a deer or squirrel she will chase. She has not been exposed to cats. When Lady was spayed it was found that she only has one kidney. BHS has had blood and urine tests performed to ensure her kidney is functioning normally. Similar to people, dogs do live normal full lives with only one kidney. We hope this is not a concern that keeps you from falling in love with this sweet loving pup! Lady has been spayed, dewormed, microchipped, tested for heartworm and is on preventive, and has received the Distemper-Parvo combination vaccine, Kennel Cough vaccine and Rabies vaccine.
