Meet Daisy

AgeAdult BreedLabrador Retriever/Mixed Breed (Medium) Sexfemale, spayed

Daisy lost her home and family during Hurricane Florence in North Carolina in September 2018. Daisy found sanctuary with a lovely couple in Virginia who were under the impression that she was an older girl. After several weeks it did not work out as Daisy needed more exercise than the family could manage. It was heartbreaking for them to give her up. Daisy is a sweet, shy girl who loves to be petted. She loves going for walks and is learning not to pull on the leash. She’s had some formal training that BHS is continuing. With reminders, she is house trained. Crate training is in progress with good results. She plays well with her foster's dog. Due to her shyness, Daisy is best suited to a dog experienced person/family who will continue her training and build her confidence with patience and kindness. Daisy has been dewormed, microchipped, tested for heartworm and is on preventive, spayed and has received the Distemper-Parvo combination vaccine, Kennel Cough vaccine and Rabies vaccine.
