Meet Nala

AgeYoung BreedMixed Breed (Medium) Sexfemale, spayed

Let me introduce a pup name Nala. Bedford Humane Society pulled her from the county pound where she was surrendered by no fault of her own. Nala cannot talk so we really do not know why she had been taken out of the only life she has known for 10 months Nala has the colors of a Shiba Inu and body style of a Whippet and acts very much like a miniature Labrador, therefore we are not real sure what to call her breed. Nala was living with another dog in her past and has been taken to adoption events now where she seems to do fine with other dogs. She has met all kinds of people and seems fine except does not like going to the vet. Nala is now living in an outside nice kennel with a concrete floor and solid roof and does go out in the yard for potty breaks. She knows a few commands and is willing to learn more. She loves to give hugs and kisses and want to sit in your lap. She is young and full of energy therefore she will need an active family that is ready to do some power walks. Nala has been dewormed, microchipped, tested for heartworm and is on preventive, spayed, and has received the Distemper-Parvo combination vaccine, Kennel Cough vaccine and Rabies vaccine. If you can give Nala a foster home inside or are interesting in meeting her to make her a family member, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to to fill out an adoption application. Bedford Humane Society is a foster based rescue therefore animals can be met by appointment only.
