You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Marvel! Marvel is a female Shepherd mix puppy approximately 4 months old. She is up to date on shots, heartworm prevention, frontline, spayed, and microchipped. Marvel got her name because it means "miracle". Let me explain.. About 3 weeks ago Marvel was found wandering in the woods alone with nasty wounds all over her neck, head, and jaw from being attacked. We don't know for sure the circumstance that led to that, but she went straight to the vet and was treated. She stayed at the vet for 1 week before she was well enough to go into foster care. Since she has been in foster care she is learning how to be a loved member of a family. She is physically all healed from her attack, but mentally still seems to be scared of strange dogs. She loves her dog foster brother (a large but very gentle submissive dog). A meet and greet would be required with any other dogs in the home. She is very interested in chasing her cat foster siblings so I think she would do best with no cats. Marvel is great with children and has done amazing with potty training! She is a typical puppy that likes to chew on things she shouldn't (shoes, kids toys, etc). Those are things she is working on and would need to continue working on as any puppy would. She is crate trained and she loves her crate. Marvel is learning to trust a kind loving hand and can be shy upon first meeting (seems to be especially shy of men). She will need a patient loving family to help her overcome her fears in life. Marvel is a beautiful girl with a beautiful heart full of love to give! She loves her people so much, she wants to be in your lap or at least attached to your leg most of the time.  Adopter must have a fenced in yard.  If Marvel sounds like a good fit for your family please fill out an application.  She is currently being fostered through Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter.  Please e-mail fobcasfriends@gmail.com if you have any further questions.
