DOG DESCRIPTION FORM- Contact Browning Frazier (540) 520-6477 Date- 05.31.18 Name of Dog- Teddy Breed- Pomeranian Location of dog- Roanoke VA Sex- male Age- 11 Color- black Weight- 19 lbs Leash- loves being leashed and going for walks Health- great health, dealing with ear infection (suspected allergy), some wear on back knee joints OK with cats? - unknown OK with dogs? - fine, I suspect he may like a buddy to play chase with in a fenced yard OK with kids? - yes Likes toys? - yes, plays with his squeaky toys, learning to play fetch Level of affection- not very demanding for attention but loves scratches, belly rubs, & gives kisses Crating- fine, goes in crate on his own for bedtime Grooming needs- Pomeranians have the thick double coat that requires almost daily brushing or occasional trimming Level of activity needed- low to medium, loves going on walks and playing with his toys but he is quiet and naps most of the day Strengths- -is very calm and sweet with everyone -does not chew anything but toys -loves to go on walks or sit on the porch -goes in crate on his own for bedtime -sleeps well through the night until I get up -gently paws at you for more scratching -is housebroken, except for marking when he first came to his foster house -no sign of aggression seen at all, suspect he might be ok with even small kids Weaknesses- -he did “mark” in the house at first (there is another male in my house) but that has stopped now that he has settled in -likes to go for car rides but sometimes seems anxious/barks in car -has ear infection which we are working on, suspect it is linked to allergies -has issues in his back knees which prevent him from jumping up on the sofa or bed (walks and gets around fine without any evident pain), we pick him up to get on the sofa/bed Perfect home would be- Teddy has bad back knees so he should not be a jogging buddy but he is still so alert and active that he is not ready to be a “lap dog” yet! He loves going on walks and would probably like to go to the farmer’s market or soccer games with his new owner. He has ear infections that we are treating. We suspect these are allergy related so he is on hypo-allergenic food and meds for allergies. His owner will have to keep an eye on his ears. ***This form is meant as an overview.
