Meet Daisy

AgeYoung BreedGerman Shorthaired Pointer Sexfemale, spayed

Daisy came to BHS with her mother and siblings and Daisy was adopted with one of her siblings. They had a great life until their family had some changes in their lives that caused them with much anguish to give them up. We did not have a foster available so she has been boarded at a local vet/boarding facility. Her brother had gone to a foster home a couple of weeks ago. In her home she was with her brother and an occasional visit from a family member with their small dog and they all got along well. We evaluated her with another foster dog and they did great. She is very sweet and friendly and has a lot of energy. She will sit for a treat but she does need training on a leash and to keep all four paws on the ground. They had been in a fenced in yard so the family did not have the need to walk them a lot. With some consistent walking we are sure she will learn fast and become a good hiking buddy. Since she is now in a foster home with another dog we will be able to do further evaluation but from what we see she is a well rounded young dog. She has a beautiful soft coat. Daisy has been dewormed, microchipped, tested for heartworm and is on heartworm preventative , spayed and has received the Distemper-Parvo combination vaccine, Kennel Cough vaccine and Rabies vaccine.
